Barrister Kemende Henry:Lawyer, Politician With Exceptional Trappings

In life there are three categories of people, those who make things happen, those who observe things happen and those who comment on the way things are happening. In Cameroon Post International, Great Minds are those who make things happen. They are people with independent minds. They don’t sing praises unduly. They have self-esteem and can aspire to any position depending on their competence. In this edition we profile...
Dignity, wise men opine, does not consist in possessing honours but in deserving them. This is to say that if you are by any stroke of historical accident, bestowed with honours that are undeserved, it makes no sense for it is tantamount to putting a golden ring on the nose of a pig.
In a nutshell, Barrister Kemende Henry is an exemplary Lawyer cum aspiring Politician par excellence not because he is a lawyer or politician but because he genuinely deserves such dignity and honour and has merited them through his own might and right. He is an able Abbot fit to represent whosoever on this planet called earth without any complex due to his high sense of duty and commitment.
As a lawyer, Barrister Kemende during his tenure of office as the North West representative of the Bar council up to this period that he is a member of the Bar council, has continued to fight to instill sanity among the lawyers and eking out pieces of advice wherever and whenever occasion warrants.
Beside, Barrister kemende believes in his profession and does not engage himself on controversial court cases. This apparently explains why his colleagues and other law pundits call him, "The wise counsel" because he advises his clients before taking any matter to court unlike other lawyers who go around advising people to drag others to court on flimsy cases in order to feed fat on them.
Because of his level-headedness, humility, God fearing and straight forwardness, Barrister Kemende is often described by his colleagues as somebody who loves his profession to an extent that he drinks the law, eats the law and dreams the law. It’s thanks to the solidarity with the lawyers which he upholds so much that he has always won any election in the Bar council even without any campaign as his colleagues rather campaign for him.
Above all, Barrister Kemende has honoured himself and the rest of the Cameroon lawyers by constructing the best ever chambers a lawyer ever built in the country. His chambers at the Bamenda Commercial avenue which is nearing completion is worth a dozen million FCFA and has given colour to the attraction of Bamenda town as a whole.
At the level of politics, Barrister Kemende who has recently entered politics on the opposition platform is creating shock waves in his Balikumbat constituency and the country as a whole. He has not entered politics to reap where he did not sow. This explains why he first militated in Alhaj Bako’s UDP where he spent from his own pocket and being a visionary that he is, he has at last, decamped to the leading opposition party in the country, the Social Democratic Front (SDF), a phenomenon which has sent shock waves to the spines of the Balikumbat CPDM political iguanas.
Being an elite of Balikumbat, Barrister Kemende knows without being told that the ruling CPDM party had often won in Balikumbat through dirty gimmicks thanks to the late tyrant, Fon Doh, who was feared by all and sundry of that village.
With the tyrant already gone, Barrister Kemende knows that if free, fair and transparent elections are organized in Balikumbat, the SDF will for sure, have a landslide victory.
